22" x 28" Acrylic and Puffy Paint on Canvas Board.

For some reason, this section on one of my walks is always covered in litter. There’s something about the curve of the road and the guard rail that makes it an appealing place to throw out trash. as i weaved in and out of the different pieces of litter i got to thinking.. if we cant care for our bodies, how will we ever be able to care for the earth? its a progression, an evolution, of care&love.. and i find it to be no coincidence that the majority of the items you find in litter are addictive & unhealthy. combine their addictive qualities with the almost constant bombardment of advertisements pulls at each individual to consume.. keeping us blind and busy to the realities surrounding us internally and externally.
