Transient Labs x Colonna Contemporary revolutionizes art authentication. This week we announced our partnership with leading Web3 platform Transient Labs to introduce their much anticipated T.R.A.C.E. technology. T.R.A.C.E., an acronym for Tokenized Records for Artwork Certification and Evolution, represents a paradigm shift in the authentication of physical artworks. Leveraging cutting-edge blockchain technology developed by Transient Labs, T.R.A.C.E. offers verifiable records inscribed on-chain, ensuring the authenticity and provenance of artworks in an immutable manner.

T.R.A.C.E. promises to revolutionize the art world by providing a secure and transparent method for verifying the authenticity and provenance of physical artworks. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the convergence of art and technology, underscoring our commitment to innovation and integrity in the art market.

Scheduled to launch alongside the highly anticipated solo exhibition "Glow" by Janie Fitzgerald at our gallery on March 1st, this partnership with Transient Labs heralds a new era of art authentication. Janie Fitzgerald's mesmerizing AI-infused flower studies will be among the first artworks to benefit from T.R.A.C.E. technology, providing collectors and enthusiasts with unprecedented transparency and assurance.

The integration of digital Certificates of Authenticity (CoA) powered by T.R.A.C.E. will empower collectors to trace the journey of each artwork, ensuring its legitimacy and historical record. Through the immutable ledger of blockchain technology, T.R.A.C.E. offers a decentralized solution that safeguards the integrity of artistic creation for generations to come.

As we prepare for the launch event on March 1st, we invite you to join us in celebrating this historic moment in the art world. Together with Transient Labs, we are proud to lead the charge in bridging the gap between tradition and innovation, while honoring the rich heritage of artistic expression.

Stay tuned for more updates as we unveil the future of art authentication and embark on this transformative journey with Transient Labs.

Together, we are redefining the landscape of the art market, ensuring transparency, authenticity, and accessibility for creators and collectors alike.

Join us on March 1st, as we embrace the dawn of a new era in the art world and celebrate the debut of "Glow" by Janie Fitzgerald, powered by T.R.A.C.E. technology.

with Gratitude,

Michele

The HUG x Colonna Contemporary

AI art open call invite
The Hug Open Call

As a gallery at the forefront of innovation whose mission is to bridge the worlds of traditional and digital art, it's important for us to consider art in all its manifestations including emerging forms, AI chief among them.

With that in mind we partnered with Randy Zuckerberg's owned Web3 art platform The Hug, to develop a program to provide a platform for emerging voices in this space. We launched an open call for submissions that generated around 300 submissions which is pretty amazing.

We decided to build the submission process around a theme which for the genesis event we defined as "Truth Unveiled: AI Perspectives". Here is the context of the open call:

In a world where AI blurs the lines between objective and relative truth, we invite emerging AI artists to explore the dynamic interplay of perspectives. "Truth Unveiled: AI Perspectives" challenges conventional notions of reality and invites creators to delve into the multifaceted nature of truth in the digital age.

Possible Interpretations:

  • Algorithmic Realities: Showcase how AI algorithms interpret and present information, revealing the subjective nature of truth.

  • Divergent Narratives: Explore how AI-generated content can lead to diverse narratives, challenging the idea of a singular truth.

  • Data Distortions: Examine the impact of biased datasets on AI-generated truths, highlighting the nuances of objectivity.

  • Perception vs. Reality: Investigate the intersection between human perception and AI-generated truths, questioning what is perceived as real.

Of all the submissions, we will choose 10 final artworks which will be showcased in our gallery's digital frames, in our virtual gallery and in our Foundation World

We're super excited about this initiative and look forward to share its progress. Meanwhile, enjoy some of the early submissions.

In Praise of Local

This week we wrap up our current show, MainLine Contemporary Voices where we highlighted 12 of our very own local MainLine talent. We had such a great time organizing this show and getting to know the artist and meeting new collectors who came to support the show.

We believe these shows are extremely important for the community and look forward to revisiting it in the future. The show will be up until Feb. 27th and you'll still be able to support the artists and purchase works on our website
